Sharing a home is one of the most practical ways for young professionals and students to afford rent in neighbourhoods like East Legon and Osu. But listings only describe the room: price, location, amenities. They say nothing about the person you will share a kitchen with.

Most roommate conflict comes from everyday habits that nobody discusses up front: sleep schedules, guests, noise, tidiness, smoking, pets and who works from home.

Listings hide the lifestyle

A room post tells you about AC and distance to shops, not whether the other person blends smoothies at 6 AM while you're falling asleep.

Awkward conversations

Expectations about guests, cleaning rosters and quiet hours are hard to raise with a stranger, so they don't get raised until there is a problem.

Cold outreach

Seekers message hosts across WhatsApp groups and social posts with no context about whether they would actually get along.

Amigo Lease builds a compatibility profile from a short lifestyle quiz and places each person into a friendly roommate archetype. Matches and listings are then ranked by compatibility, and people can chat in-app before meeting.

Archetypes are a conversation starter, not a box: they give two strangers shared language for expectations. The exact quiz scores stay private and are only used to calculate compatibility and flag potential friction points.
